Abstract

The article discusses a study investigating the integrity/intactness of the checkpoint mechanisms in sake yeasts (budding yeast), suggesting that a currently used cerulenin-resistant sake yeast had a defect in spindle assembly checkpoint (SAC) function. Topics mentioned include investigation of checkpoint integrity of cerulenin-resistant sake yeasts, isolation of spontaneous cerulenin-resistant mutant with normal checkpoint integrity, and checkpoint integrity of the cerulenin-resistant G9CR.
