Abstract
- The article focuses on the political narratology and consensual development in China in the period following the death of Mao Zedong, the leader of the People's Republic of China (PRC) from 1949 to 1976. Topics include the narrative strategies adopted by Chinese democrats and political leaders, the self-interest of individuals on both sides motivating compliance with that discipline regardless of their intentions, and logic of westernization and self-orientalization.
