Abstract

The article discusses study which examines the association of genetic variation in prostate-specific antigen with prostate cancer detection and the effect of control selection on genome-wide association studies (GWAS). Topics discussed include associations of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with circulating prostate-specific antigen (PSA), selection of controls for GWAS below PSA threshold, and comparing prostate cancer cases with low PSA controls.
