Abstract

The article discusses a study to investigate the association of androgen receptor variants with the risk of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) concentrations and its impact on the risk of being diagnosed with prostate cancer. Topics discussed include need of improving Serum PSA, a clinical marker with the adjustment of AR genotype, use the European Male Ageing Study (EMAS) to provide baseline information, and benefits of screening prostate cancer using PSA measurements.
