Abstract
- The article talks about a study on type II diabetes and glycemic risk with prostate cancer and alleles that may affect the risk for both disease. Topics include single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) genotypic risk score, the Prostate Cancer Association Group to Investigate Cancer Associated Alterations in the Genome (PRACTICAL) consortium, and the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) prostate cancer study. The results do not support a shared genetic etiology for type II diabetes and prostate cancer.
