Abstract

The article discusses the genetic factors associated with pigmentation traits affecting response to sunlight, and the evaluated relationship of lifecourse ultraviolet radiation (UVR) exposure with detected prostate cancer risk and plasma levels of vitamin D. Topics covered include how the subjects were screened for randomized controlled trial, the obtained exposure data and the statistical analysis used to assess the association of genetic scores with pigmentation and sun exposure variables.
