Abstract
- This article discusses a document written by the Spanish Inquisition that lists names of Jewish families in Tudela, Spain, who converted to Christianity in 1498. The author comments on the document's relationship with the Sanbenito hanging in the Tudela cathedral, which displays the names Jewish converts. The importance of each of these documents in the 17th century purity of blood tests conducted by the Inquisition are also examined.
