Our study reviews certain aspects of Pascal Quignard's poetics/creative process starting with the publication in 1986 of Une gene technique a l' égard des fragments, by proposing that fragmentary writing is a defining feature of the author's entire output. The allure of the fragmented, of allembracing fragmentation, is illustrated by lists inserted in the body of his work. Consequently, we also consider this particular form of expression, the list, as an additional aspect of literariness in Pascal Quignard's oeuvre. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
