Abstract

The article discusses the integration of the arts with the sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines, also known as the STEAM movement, as of March 2015. Topics covered include the association of the maker movement, which was popularized by Maker Faires events and the "Make:" magazine, with STEAM education, and the role of the arts in maker-centered learning based on the STEM with Stickers effect and the Arts and Crafts effect trends.
