Abstract

The article presents the author's views about overcontrolling an aircraft. The two types of aircraft overcontrol are described which include the excessive control input and out-of-sync control input. According to the author, the lack of sensitivity to the inherent behavior of the aircraft is the most common cause of the problems. The significance of knowing how to leverage the built-in stability of the aircraft in increasing flight safety and comfort is highlighted.
