Abstract
- The article discusses a study which determines whether the motivation towards competitive swimming performance depends on an event performed and the resulting energetic expenditure. It examines the relationship between energy demand involved in competitive swimming events and the motivation for swimmers to perform them. Findings suggest that the energetic cost of the event where the Spanish swimmers compete affects the reason to practice it.
