Abstract
- The article reports on the prevalence of Toxoplasma gondii among wild animals in the southwestern area of Spain. Topics discussed include the use of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in detecting the zoonotic pathogen in wild animals, the animals that tested positive for T. gondii and the implication of the genetic variability produced by the test results for domestic animal and human infection.
