Abstract

The article reports on the author's speech at the symposium on disarmament and non-proliferation, hosted in Academy House, Dublin, Ireland in March 2014. Topics discussed include the role of Ireland in the negotiation of the Convention on Cluster Munitions, the Irish Defence Forces' role in Conventional Disarmament; and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
