Abstract
- An essay is presented on the impact of the U.S Supreme Court's ruling of the case Salinas v. Texas on the rights of Americans set forth in case Miranda v. Arizona. Topics discussed include the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination that prohibits the admission of evidence about a defendant's pre-arrest, case Davis v. United States that dealt with the right to counsel and case Berghuis v. Thompkins that addressed the right to silence.
