The basic aim of the article is to shed light on the section of the Polish diplomatic history during the Second World War, namely the activity of the Polish Embassy to the Holy See. The author remembers the person of the Polish Ambassador Kazimierz Papée and the difficult political circumstances accompanying his tenure.
