Abstract
- The article focuses on some U.S. coins that were minted exclusively in the month of December. It is noted that since at least the 1880s, coins of the 1912 San Francisco Mint nickel denomination had been shipped west to the City by the Bay. It is mentioned that the 1916 Standing Liberty quarter dollar is another well-known coin that barely made it to production before year's end and had difficult gestation periods.
