Abstract
- The article discusses issues concerning the use of the rhetoric of superlative to describe places. Topics covered include the author's experience in starting a so-called Wiscotheism because of her love for Wisconsin, comments on the description of Montana as the "last best place" and the opinion that the phrase was used to encourage environmental protection and conservation in Montana and comments on environmental activists' use of superlative language to make their case persuasive.
