Abstract
- The article discusses the highlights of the Libraries in the Digital Age (LIDA) conference held in Zadar, Croatia on June 16-20, 2014. Topics include qualitative methods and altmetrics in assessing libraries and scholarly communication, the paper "Are Downloads and Readership Data a Substitute for Citations? The Case of a Scholarly Journal" presented by Christian Schloegl, and the conference's conclusion that altmetrics could complement but should not substitute citation data.
