Developing a best practice model for partnership practice between specialist palliative care and intellectual disability services: A mixed methods study.

The article presents a mixed methods study that aimed to design a best practice model to promote partnership practice between intellectual disability services and specialist palliative care. The study found that only few intellectual disability services and nursing homes reported contact with specialist palliative care services in Great Britain. The Phase I of the study showed that partnership practice was infrequent while in Phase 2, the issues of partnership in practice were addressed.
