Abstract

The article discusses the impact of additional cessation support on free nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) provision by quitlines. Topics covered include the efforts of quitlines to explain to smokers the different behavioral and medicinal interventions that they could use to stop smoking. Also mentioned are factors considered by authors in assessing smoking cessation efforts of smokers such as age of finishing education, heaviness of smoking and gender.
