Abstract: The article presents nursing news briefs. Scotland's chief nursing officer Ros Moore is resigning at the end of 2014. A survey of cancer patients in England revealed that a third of them do not think there are enough nurses on duty to care for them when they are hospitalized. Head of nursing at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland, Brendan McCormack, has been inducted into honor society Sigma Theta Tau International's 2014 international nurse researcher hall of fame.
