Abstract

The article looks at business strategy of telecommunication companies AT&T Inc. and Verizon to keep a tighter rein on the small to medium business (SMB) market in the U.S. as of September 2014. It informs that both companies are leveraging its ongoing fiber-to-the-building (FTTB) program being offered to their existing customers. Views of Tom Hughes, vice president of Small Business Project Management at AT&T, are also presented related to the issue.
