Abstract

The article discusses the fungus genus Phalangispora with rediscovery of P. Bharathensis on leaf litter of Mangiefera indica in Western Ghats, India. It states that the genus is a unique setose sporodochial hyphomycete that produces hyaline smooth and unicellular conidia connected by narrow isthmi in branched chains. It mentions that the fungus is semi-aquatic that grows in decaying leaves.
