Abstract

The article presents a study that investigates the changes in criminogenic needs at four different points in time to determine which criminogenic needs are the most amenable to change. The study explores the effectiveness of a probation treatment process when compared to the traditional probation method of referring probationers to community-based treatment services. It suggests the significant changes in criminogenic needs with regard to antisocial associates, leisure and recreation time.
