Abstract
- The article discusses the associations between social deprivation, depression, and psychotic symptoms such as paranoia, hallucinations, and mania using the 2007 Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey dataset. Topics include the mediating roles of stress, discrimination, trust, and social support; the relationship between paranoid ideation and participants' index of multiple deprivation (IMD); and investigations of the role of social inequalities in psychopathology.
