Abstract
- In this paper, a low power differential low noise amplifier (LNA) for C-band application based on noise cancellation technology is presented. The LNA consists of input stage, amplifier stage and output buffer stage. The input stage realizes the input match and noise cancellation by a cascade of the differential pairs of direct cross coupling and cross coupling. Current reuse structure with resistance-inductance parallel feedback is adopted at amplifier stage to obtain high gain, good gain flatness and low power consumption. The output stage employs a source-follower to achieve excellent output match. Based on TSMC 0.18 µm CMOS process library, the simulation results show that over the C-band, the gain is 20.4 ± 0.5 dB, noise figure over 2.3 ~ 2.4 dB, input and output match loss is below -11 dB, stable factor than 1, 1 dB compress point is -16.6 dBm, IIP3 is -7 dBm at 6.5 GHz. With the power supply voltage of 2.5 V, the circuit power consumption is only 6.75 mW. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
