Abstract

The article discusses the peanut research of Alabama's Auburn University focusing on seed, and disease and nematode control. It describes the results of its three-year irrigated seeding rate study at Headland, Alabama, with the same results obtained at Fairhope near the Gulf Coast. It notes that the Georgia-07 variety had the lowest amount of disease and the highest yield. It also talks about fungicide inputs, using applications of chlorothalonil with a generic program and a Cadillac program.
