Abstract

The article discusses the U.S. District Court case Awad v. City of New York et al. wherein Steve Award from Egypt who allegedly removed from a city program where he worked for the New York Department of Environmental Protection. Topics include supervisor Gregrory Hoag's discriminatory remarks about his national origin and race, he was excluded from meetings by another supervisor Vassilios Zoumboulias, and Judge Brian Cogan who ruled in favor of Awad.
