- The article presents economic indicators in relations to chain store sales in the U.S. as of August 5, 2014. Topics discussed include the ICSC-Goldman Sachs (ICSC-GS) chain store sales index for the week ending August 2, 2014, which shows a 0.2% increase in chain store sales, the U.S. average national temperature for the week ending August 2, and the decline in the nationwide average price of regular-grade unleaded gasoline.
