Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the efficacy of local corticosteroid injection and low-level laser treatment in 135 patients with subacromial impingement syndrome. The study used a controlled clinical trial to assess the pre- and post- treatment of patients at a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation outpatient clinic. Results show that low-level laser treatment and local corticosteroid injection are both effective in treating subacromial impingement syndrome.
