Abstract

The article describes the case of a 23-year-old woman who suffered from a stroke after taking cyproterone acetate ethinyl estradiol (CPA-EE) to treat her acne. Topics discussed include the patient losing her ability to speak three weeks after taking the drug, results of the patient's computed tomography (CT) test and treatment recommended to the patient. Also discussed is the possible connection between CPA-EE and stroke, adverse effects of the drug and its connection with thrombosis.
