Two-thirds in Taiwan survey object to being called 'Chinese'.

Abstract

The article reports that according to a survey, conducted during June 2013 and June 2014, more than 60% of people living in Taiwan prefer to be called "Taiwanese," not "Chinese." It says that 72.9% of respondents in the age group 22-29 called them "Taiwanese." It says that the results of the survey show that the people in Taiwan have developed their own Taiwanese national identity.
