The article discusses the research which aims to explore the sustainability of the market model of the monopolistic competition in Serbia. The research describes the viability of the model of the monopolistic competition in conditions such as global economic crisis, transitional economics, and reform. It mentions the opportunities for the survival of the mentioned market model in terms of the re-industrialization which is inevitable partner of globalization.
