THE FUNDING OF TERTIARY EDUCATION IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC - THEORETICAL BACKGROUND.

The question of funding of tertiary education is among the most discussed topics. The key issue is to determine the proportion of public budgets and private sector involvement (including the student himself). The paper is focused on the theoretical aspects of the financing of tertiary education, which are accompanied by a brief excursion into the existing system of higher education funding in the Czech Republic. The aim of the paper is to analyze current trends in financing higher education.
