Abstract

The article offers information on the several fabrics used to knit the gloves used in the industries by controlling the knitting machine gauge and yarn size and also informs the benefits of dipping and coating of gloves. Topics discussed include use of polyester and nylon fibers having moderate tensile strength, use of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and para-aramid fibers that are aromatic nylons, and use of liquid crystal fibre and fibreglass.
