Abstract
- The article focuses on "Labor to Neighbor" campaign of the U.S. which started a year and a half earlier with a purpose to educate workers and gain more political clout. Before such a campaign can succeed, however, individual unions will first have to restructure themselves. They need to make themselves more democratic so that members will be motivated to organize and do political work. Unions also need to pump more resources into organizing, to try new strategies and to push limits of the law, forcing the right to organize to the front of public debate. Politicians can also be pressured to back workers' rights to organize.
