Study: Physicians not using report card data.

Reports on a study published in the `New England Journal of Medicine' which found that published reports evaluating the performance of cardiac surgeons in Pennsylvania have little or no effect on the referral practices of a vast majority of cardiologists in that state. Possible effect of discouraging cardiac surgeons from taking on risky cases for coronary artery bypass graft surgery.
