Abstract

This article focuses on the effectiveness of the hospital letterhead as a communication tool for the Bradley Memorial Hospital in Cleveland, Tennessee. The article explains the primary features of the letterhead, including a two color logo, a four word statement that positions the organization as a cutting edge medical facility that serves a five county region, and highlights the awards the organization has received in recognition of its excellence as a health service provider. The authors suggest that effective letterhead and logo design can be a successful and economical marketing tool for hospitals feeling the pinch of reduced marketing budgets.
