The European Association for Palliative Care basic dataset to describe a palliative care cancer population: Results from an international Delphi process.

The article presents a study which examines the basic dataset used by the European Association for Palliative Care to describe a palliative care cancer population. The study is investigated using a five-step international Delphi process, literature review, and data analysis. Results show that consensus was reached on a set of core variables including patient's date of birth, principal diagnosis, and stage of the cancer disease.
