Abstract

An essay is presented on the adoption of rubrics in higher education in the U.S. It states that rubrics is beneficial for students, as it provides them with the needs of the business community, including practical knowledge, skills, and abilities. It is stated that in the U.S., public sector higher education is overseen and underwritten by sovereign states; and educational institutions in the U.S. do not like centrally imposed rubrics.
