Abstract

Novel vanadium oxodiperoxocomplexes [CHN][VO(O)L]·2HO and [CHN] [VO(O)L]·2HO were synthesized, where L = pyridine ( 1), 2-methylpyridine ( 2) and 4-methylpyridine ( 3), using CTAB and 16-2-16 as cationic gemini surfactant. All complexes were characterized by H-NMR, IR spectroscopy, XRD, DSC-TGA analyses and TEM. The diesel fuel desulfurization catalyzed by vanadium peroxocomplexes in bi-phase system was investigated in various solvents. The complexes manifested high catalytic activity and selectivity in removal of sulfur compounds. All complexes were characterized by 1H-NMR, IR spectroscopy, XRD, DSC-TGA analyses and TEM. The diesel fuel desulfurization catalyzed by vanadium peroxocomplexes in bi-phase system was investigated in various solvents. The complexes manifested high catalytic activity and selectivity in removal of sulfur compounds.[Figure not available: see fulltext.] [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
