Abstract
- The article discusses the study on the effectiveness of applying elastomeric coatings to building foundations to mitigate fragmentation from a bombing. It details how the study was conducted which led to the development of a laminate design that is more resistant to ballistic penetration when combined with lower weight. The results reportedly revealed that elastomeric coatings can improve steel armor's resistance to high-speed projectiles.
