Abstract
- The article offers information on a study to investigate the relationship between serum levels of Interleukin-8 (IL-8), necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), transforming growth factor-beta 1 (TGF-β1), and coal workers' pneumoconiosis (CWP) findings in retired coal workers. Topics discussed include measurement of serum cytokine level for the study, role of TGF-β in silicosis, and monoctye chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) produced by various inflammatory cells.
