Supporting transgender students in schools.

As lesbian, gay and bisexual adolescents, transgender students are statistically more likely to have poorer mental health, and more prone to risk-taking behaviours, such as alcohol and drug misuse. They are also at an increased risk of bullying. It is therefore important that they are adequately supported in the school environment.
