To Erik Hemingway, a peripatetic architect who for the past few years has been based in the Detroit area, architecture is a movable feast. Hemingway earned his undergraduate degree in architecture at the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. He accepted a teaching assignment at the Lawrence Technical University, Cranbrook near Detroit. He formed a company called Hemingway + Associates with partner Allison Warren.
