Abstract
- The article presents a case study of a 46-year-old woman experiencing recurrent arthritis, abdominal pain, and fever due to her medical history of familial Mediterranean fever (FMF). It says that the patient had a colchicine-resistant FMF and started an IL-1 antagonist anakinra treatment at the end of January 2013. In addition, the case study indicated that anakinra can be an effective and adjunctive medication in place of colchicine to prevent FMF attacks in colchicine-resistant patients.
