Presents a paper by the authors that reports an occurrence of sodian and yttrian garnets, with up to 0.37 wt% Na2O, 2.1 wt% Y2O3 and 0.48 wt% Yb2O3, in orthogneisses from Su-Lu terrane of eastern China and discusses the substitution relations of Na and Y + Yb into garnet.
