Abstract: The article discusses a study which investigated the use of the Hirsch's (h)-index in measuring the quality of the output of health services researchers. Topics discussed include the increase in the h-index of qualitative researchers and statisticians, the calculation of pairwise Spearman's rank correlations for the number of publications, number of citations and 10-index and the results of a quantile regression to predict the median, 90th and 95th quantiles for h-index.
