The article examines the trends related to supply data standards in the U.S. health care sector in 2014. Topics covered include the progress in the data standards movement, impact of the movement on pharmaceutical manufacturers as well as effect on medical device developers. Also mentioned is the implementation of the Universal Product Number (UPN) system in the industry.
