- The article focuses on a research report released by investment research firm Morningstar Inc. regarding rising interest rates of Mutual and exchange-traded funds as of December 2013. Timothy Strauts, a senior fund analyst, states that funds tracked by have shown increased investment fund in short term funds. It reveals that 65 percent of portfolio's fixed income portions are invested in intermediate-maturity government bonds.
